Ingredients
  

  • 3 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped Use high-quality chocolate for better taste and texture
  • 2 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • ¼ cup rum
  • cup pecans, finely chopped Ensure they are finely chopped for smoother texture
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup powdered sugar, divided
  • 12 maraschino cherries, halved Remove from syrup and dry with a paper towel

Instructions
 

  • Melt the chocolate using a double boiler method. Stir with a spatula until fully melted and smooth.
  • Add the corn syrup and rum to the melted chocolate and stir to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, finely chopped pecans, and ¼ cup of powdered sugar. Pour the chocolate-rum mixture over and stir until well combined.
  • Form 1-inch balls, roll in remaining powdered sugar, and press an indentation in each to place half of a maraschino cherry.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days. Best to prepare a few days ahead for flavors to combine.
