Vegetables

  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh sage, chopped

Base Ingredients

  • 6 cups croissants, torn
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery, cooking until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat and stir in parsley, thyme, sage, salt, and black pepper.
  • In a large bowl, combine torn croissants, sautéed vegetables and herbs, chicken broth, and beaten eggs. Toss gently to mix.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  • Let the stuffing cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.

Notes

This stuffing can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
