Ingredients
  

  • 2 units green bananas Ensure they are not ripe
  • 1 cup oil For frying

Instructions
 

  • First, cut the ends off your bananas. Make a line down the banana and peel it. Cut the banana in half for easier handling.
  • Using a grater, shred your banana on the coarse side of the grater.
  • Now divide your banana into 8 equal balls. Once divided, flatten your balls with a spatula or a plate. Make sure to press hard so the pieces stick better.
  • The last step is to fry. Over high heat, place a large skillet and add your oil. Once your oil is hot, add your arañitas and fry for 2 minutes on each side or until they acquire a golden color. Serve and if desired, sprinkle a little salt and enjoy.

Notes

Ensure your bananas are green for this recipe as slightly yellow bananas will change the taste and texture.
